It is with much anticipation and excitement that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 12th Result has been released. The result was declared on July 13th, 2020 with 84.39% students passing the exam.

A total number of 10, BT and CTL students appeared for the examination which were conducted between 15th February and 30th March. This year’s examination was the first to be conducted amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the students faced new challenges due to the new exam pattern.

The students, who appeared for the CBSE 12thResult, have achieved success despite the pandemic. The overall pass percentage stands at 84.39% this year compared to 83% last year. While 8,98,815 students have cleared the exam, 1,59,540 have failed.

Out of the total pass percentage, girls have outperformed boys by recording an impressive 88.78% pass rate, while boys managed a pass percentage of 79.58%.

The CBSE has also released the results of Vocational stream candidates and they have managed to pass with a pass rate of 79%.

This year, the CBSE has adopted a special grading system to mark the performance of candidates, instead of the traditional percentage-based grading system. This new grading system has been adopted to ensure students are not penalized due to the Covid-19 situation. The grading system for the CBSE 12th Result will range from A1 to E, with A1 being the highest grade and E being fail.

The candidates can check their result online through the official CBSE website or the DigiLocker mobile application. The result can also be accessed through the UMANG app, Umang Microsoft App, SMS, IVRS etc.
