The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of Class 10th for the year 2021. The results were eagerly awaited by students, parents and teachers alike. This year, the entire exam process had to be conducted in a different way due to the ongoing pandemic. Despite the challenges, students across the country have managed to perform well and get their desired results.
The CBSE board had announced the exam dates for Class 10th in the month of January 2021. The exams were scheduled from May 4th to June 7th, 2021. The students had to prepare for their exams as per the syllabus prescribed by the board. The board had also released the exam pattern and sample papers to help the students understand the type of questions they will be facing in the exams.
The students had to put in a lot of hard work and dedication to prepare for the exams. They had to attend online classes and take up mock tests to understand their weak points and revise accordingly. The parents and teachers also helped the students in their preparation by providing them with guidance and support.
The CBSE board has announced the Class 10th results on June 21st, 2021. The results were published on the official website of the board, cbse.nic.in. The students can also access their results on the Digilocker app. The board has also released the list of toppers for the exams.
The board has also decided to give grace marks to the students who have not been able to perform well in the exams due to the pandemic. This will ensure that the students are not at a disadvantage due to the ongoing situation.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Results of the Class 10th Examination on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. More than 17.86 lakh students had appeared in the examination held in March and April this year. The results were declared on the official website, www.cbseresults.nic.in, at 4:00 pm.
The overall pass percentage has seen a marginal increase from 87.70% in 2018 to 88.67% this year. Girls have outshone boys with a pass percentage of 92.45%. The maximum number of candidates scoring 95% and above are from the Humanities stream.
Region-wise performance has seen a significant shift this year with improvement percentage highest in the Central Zone. The overall pass percentage in the Central Zone has increased from 88.55% to 92.08%, which is the highest among all zones. The North and South Zones have recorded a pass percentage of 87.84% and 88.39%, respectively.
The CBSE Class 10th Grading system has also been revised this year. The new grading system has been modelled on the U-G CCE pattern introduced in Class 9th and 10th in 2011. The new system has seen a hike in the number of top A+ scorers with around 1.22 lakh students scoring more than 90%.
The Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations and all other international Class 10th exams will be conducted as per the old grading system. The new grading pattern has, however, been accepted by many universities and higher education institutions. The notification to the same effect might be issued soon.
The students who are not satisfied with their result may apply for re-evaluation. The CBSE also provides an option of ‘Verification of Marks’ for those who wish to do so.
