The National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) has recently released the results of their 2017 ITI Semester exams. This has been a long-awaited result by the students who appeared for the exams this year.

The exams were conducted in the months of July, August and September across the country. Approximately 85,000 students took part, making it one of the largest ITI examinations to date.

The exams were held in various trades, including Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Mechanist, Electronic Mechanic, Welder, Refrigerator and Air-conditioning Mechanic, Draughtsman Civil and Draughtsman Mechanical, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) and more.

Overall, the pass percentage for the exam is about 71.72, and this is a higher percentage than the previous year (68.45) which is a great success. The percentage of pass was highest in the state of Maharashtra (86.36 percent), and the lowest in the state of Assam (58.46 percent).

The overall pass percentage of girls was 74.27% while it was 70.19% for the boys. This clearly shows that girls have outperformed boys in this year’s ITI exams.
